# Get Row Count IRIS

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Table Element** from the **Desktop Application** using the **IRIS method**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to retrieve the total number of rows present in the specified table and save the result in the dynamic variable.

### **Syntax**

**Input Value:** `N/A`

| Argument | Description    |
| -------- | -------------- |

**Output Value**

| Argument                      | Description                                                                |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Required) | This variable holds the row count                                          |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the execution status as **True** or **False**. |

**Example**

**Fetches the total number of rows present in the specified IRIS table.**

The **Get Row Count IRIS** action does not require any input value. The total row count as 12 is retrieved and stored in the **{RowCount}** variable.&#x20;
