# Verify Text IRIS

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Element** from the **Desktop Application** using the **IRIS method**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure to verify that the text in the IRIS object is the same as that in the input field and save the result in dynamic variable.&#x20;

### Syntax&#x20;

**Input Value:** `<input value>`&#x20;

| Argument                               | Description                                                                  |
| -------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>\<input value></p><p>(Required)</p> | Specify the input text to matches with expected value of the targeted object |

**Output Value:**&#x20;

| Argument                                                    | Description                                                     |
| ----------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);\<Dynamic Variable>(Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the status as **True** or **False** |

**Example**

**Verifying the Text of an IRIS Object in the Application**

The **Verify Text IRIS** action takes the value from the Input Value column (e.g., Login) and checks whether the text displayed by the targeted IRIS object matches the expected value. The result of the verification is stored in the **{VerifyText}** variable as **True** (if the text matches) or **False** (if the text does not match).
