# Verify element text

This is a pre-built action available under the **Captured Element** from the **Desktop Application**. The functionality of this action in Avo Assure is to verify whether the given input text matches the text of the captured element and save result in dynamic variable.

### Syntax

**Input Value:** `<element text>`

| <p>\<element text><br>(Required)</p> | Provide the text to be verified against the captured element text. |

**Output Value:**

| \<Dynamic Variable>(Optional);\<Dynamic Variable>(Optional) | This dynamic variable holds the status of the action as **True** or **False.** |

**Example**

**Validate whether the text of the specified element matches the expected value.**

The **Verify Element Text** action takes the value from the Input Value column **(e.g., Avo Bank- Log In)** and compares it with the actual text of the target element. The result of the verification is stored in the **{Verify Text}** variable as **True** (if the text compares successfully ) or **False** (if the text is not compares successfully )
